Governors of the newly formed political alliance, All Progressive Congress (nine) met in Maiduguri, Borno state, today, same day the city recorded three bomb blasts that killed three soldiers and injured several others.
Spokesperson for the Joint Task Force, Lt. Col. Sagir Musa said: “There was an explosion targeting a military patrol vehicle today. One soldier and two civilians were injured in the attack which happened around Customs area of the city...Three other explosions were reported in the Gamboru and Bolori areas of the city but there were no casualties...
The President of Nigeria, President Goodluck Jonathan has not visited Maiduguri since Boko Haram started bombing and attacking the state in 2011.
