51 year old actor and Hollywood's very own Eddie Murphy is set to return as 'Axel Foley' in a television version of 80s action 80s movie 'Beverly Hills Cop.'
But! he will not be the main star of the new CBS show, which has been ordered for a pilot that could be the basis for a full series...instead the TV version will be focusing on the adventures of his son Aaron, who has followed his father's footsteps into the police force, though choosing to work in the fancy 90210 area instead of his father's old beat in Detroit.
The series is purported to show him attempting to escape Foley's shadow, as he polices the rich and famous.
Eddie Murphy who will be appearing in the pilot,could become a regular, only if the PILOT makes grade.

The show is being produced by Murphy and 'The Shield' creator Shawn Ryan...Beverly Hills Cops, the Movie was the biggest Movie hit in 1984, raking in a record $316 million USD off a $15 Million USD budget...87' did not disappoint either, but the 1994 version? oops! $119 Million USD off a $50 Million USD budget was a huge disappointment!
