When the net was agog with the news that Adele's theme for Skyfall was recorded in 10minutes after earning a Golden Globe nomination, the producer who was misquoted took to social media to clarify things.
Recently, it was various media reported that the '21' star had finished work on the theme to the 007 film in unusually quick time of 10minutes. But the producer Epworth took to Twitter this
morning (Dec 18) and said that he was tired of things
being "taken out of context". "Ok ok. Can I clarify this," he wrote.
"Adele didn't record her final skyfall vocal in 10 minutes. We cut the
first draft of the verse and chorus. It took us a while to hone the
track into the end result. Don't you just love it when things are taken
out of context."
Epworth was previously quoted as saying that he sat down to write the theme song for the new James Bond movie but felt it was too dark. However, Adele loved the track and they booked time in a studio straight away. A media reported him saying:
"Within 10 minutes, she put down most of the vocals. She had the lyrics in her head when she drove over. It was the most absurd thing. She's fast, but it was quite phenomenal."
