OIL SUBSIDY THIEVES BEHIND KIDNAP OF OKONJO IWEALA's MUM?

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala
At a press conference in Abuja, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Nigeria's Co-ordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance, Ngozi on Monday 17th December, 2012 confirmed that the indicted oil marketers being verified for fraudulent claims were behind the abduction of her 83 year old mother, Kamene Okonjo, who was denied access to wtaer and food by her abductors.
The  grateful minister said the abductors consistently told Kamene that the reason for her kidnap was that her daughter, Okonjo-Iweala refused to pay oil subsidy claims to oil marketers and because of the Subsidy Re-investment Programme (SURE-P).

She thanked the security agencies for doing a good job by being quite professional and enthusiastic in the discharge of their duties, and she hoped they would complete the job which they started so well.
In her words, she said:
“The outpouring of love from all over the country has been simply overwhelming.  Friends, neighbours, colleagues, acquaintances, offered help and encouragement in a myriad of ways; even total strangers mobilised prayer groups for the safe return of my mother. We pray that God will reward their selflessness abundantly.”
But when questioned further Ngozi said:
”I can’t give all the details because we don’t want to compromise on-going investigations.
