Grammy Award winning star, Rihanna who recently lost her grandma to cancer took to twitter to pray for the 12 killed at the premiere of BatMan 'Dark Knight rises to say:
"that's incredibly heartbreaking! Wow! My prayers are certainly going out to them and their loved ones" as she struggled to take in what had happened.
NBA star LeBron James also wrote:
"Its just not fair that innocent people have to lose their lives over someone's selfish stupidity acts! My stomach is hurting over this."
12 people have died at the scene, with over 50 others on the injured list at nearby medical centres.
According to the police round 50 people were injured, believed to include a three month old baby.
