According to Daily Trust, Police in Delta State reportedly shot
dead three students of the Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-uku, and
three others over alleged armed robbery.
It was gathered that the six
suspected robbers were killed by the police at different locations.
According to police sources, detectives from Ogwashi-uku police
division, following a tip off, stormed the hostel and met the suspects
who were allegedly armed and engaged them in a gun battle.
The command’s Public Relations
Officer, ASP Lucky Uyabeme, who confirmed the report, said an AK47 cut
to size and two pistols were recovered from the suspects.
