BOKO HARAM'S CEASEFIRE...LINKED TO DISMANTLING OF TERRORISM BASE IN MALI OR...

Rumour had it that Boko Haram had been linked to the failed attempt by merceneries to keep late Libyan leader Ghadafi in power and it had been postulated that weapons made available to the merceneries were being used by Boko Haram...Mali's north too had fallen to the hands of Islamic extrimist who had terrorism in the blood...still this group was linked to Ghaddafi's foreign merceneries from Mali returning to the country...Boko Haram had been almost invincible until news broke out that the leader of the group had been spotted in Mali, injured. Now that almost the whole world's in Mali, taking over the terror base of the north...the Boko Haram group declares a ceasefire...isn't this move a questionable one? Is it that because the group is losing grip with its base in Mali, they got jittery? Well, whatever we try to insinuate, the Nigerian Chief of Defence, Admiral Ola Sa'ad Ibrahim, Tuesday advised the Federal Government to treat the ceasefire with caution...the security forces in the volatile North-east also welcomed the ceasefire declaration by a commander of the Islamist sect, but said they would not lower their guard.

Below is the content of the ceasefire declaration by the second in command of Boko Haram, Sheik Abu Mohammed Ibn Abdulazeez, sent a to journalists in Maiduguri on Monday January 28th, saying the group has agreed to a ceasefire after talks with the Borno government.
“We are going to comply with the cease- fire order and by the time we are done with that, then government security agencies can go ahead to arrest whoever they find carrying arms or killing under our name,”  he said.
