Popular Nollywood Actor Arrested for Raping His Friend's Daughter!

Nemesis caught up with a popular Yoruba actor, known as "Ogunjimi" in most movies was arrested on Tuesday by the Police and detained at the Oke-Baale division of the Nigeria Police, after the victim, his friend's 22-year-old daughter reported him. The actor has been transferred to the Criminal Investigations Department (SCID) of the state police command for further interrogation on the matter.

After medical experts examined the victim on the directives of the police, their report proved that Ogunjimi forcibly had carnal knowledge of the 22 year old girl (name withheld). 

Sources said the victim and her mother who was allegedly victimized out of her matrimonial home were living with Ogunjimi at his Osogbo residence and he was responsible for their upkeep until recently the victim’s mother left her with Ogunjimi in Osogbo and relocated to Lagos.It was gathered that after the r*pe, the victim reported the incident to the police alongside some residents of the area. A senior police officer at the Oke Bale Police Division where Ogunjimi was taken after his arrest confided in Sunday Sun that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) transferred the case to the SCID due to pressure mounted on him by influential people to release the suspect. Osun Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Folashade Odoro who confirmed that the case had been reported to the police, also confirmed that the popular Yoruba actor was being detained at the SCID, Osogbo.
