D.P.O WHO SHOT AND KILLED A YOUNG BOY AT OGBA DURING FUEL SUBSIDY PROTEST HAS BEEN DISMISSED AND BEING PROSECUTED IN COURT FOR MURDER


The Nigeria Police Service Commission has dismissed Olusegun Fabunmi, a Chief Superintendent of Police who served as a D.P.O. of Pen Cinema, Agege police division, but shot and killed one Ademola Aderinto in Ogba, Lagos during the January 2012 fuel subsidy protest.

During the commission’s plenary meeting held on April 3 in Abuja, Mr. Fabunmi was dismissed for act unbecoming of a senior police officer.

The Lagos State office of the Public Defender is currently prosecuting him for murder at a Lagos High Court by
