Born in Ibadan, Oyo state to Mr and Mrs Adenuga, Mike Adenuga made his first millions at the age of 26 trading in Lace and Coca Cola, before former Nigerian Military head of state, Gen. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida took him under his wings. His company ConOil which metamorphosed via the relationship was the first indegenous Nigerian company to strike oil in Nigeria in the 90's. Today, his Conoil Producing Company is Nigeria’s largest indigenous oil exploration company. Daily production: 100,000 barrels per day. And also today, his telecommunication outfit Globacom is already striving to build Africa’s largest mobile telecommunications network, Globacom already has over 15 million subscribers in Nigeria and over 500,000 in Benin Republic.
