With 140 people reportedly killed and more numbers are still being expected and tens of thousands displaced by floods across nigeria, the question we begin to ask is could this have been averted? The NEMA said warnings have been handed out to appropriate government agencies since march this year...the question then is, what did Government do with this information? The rains have not stopped...the floods are still gathering around the country, and some of the displaced people are still stranded...
