The man who played God in the movie "Bruce Almighty" Holywood's very own donated $1 million last month to the super PAC backing President, the group announced today Thursday 19th July, 2012 - This morning to be precise.
PAC is co-founded by former White House aide Bill Burton. Bill Burton
That accounts for a solid chunk of the $6.1 million Priorities USA Action raised in June.
In a statement provided by Priorities, Mr. Freeman, an Oscar-winner who stars in the new Batman film “The Dark Knight Rises,” urges others to “join me” in backing the group.
In his words, Morgan said:
“President Obama has done a remarkable job in historically difficult circumstances,” he says. “He ended combat operations in Iraq, put in place sensible reforms of Wall Street, saved the auto industry and protected the health care of every American. He has led our nation to be more tolerant and placed impressive, accomplished women on the Supreme Court. In return, he is the target of hundreds of millions of dollars from right-wing sources. I am proud to lend my voice – and support – to those who defend him. “
