Bale with a victim at the Hospital |
Bale spoke personally with seven of them, part of the 20 treated at the centre. 58 people were wounded in the shoot-out while 12 are already dead.
Twenty of the 58 people wounded in the late-night attack on Friday are being treated at the centre, some of them in critical condition.
Shortly after being injured Mr Rottman one of the victims posted on his facebook page:
"Shot in the leg at Batman. Where is he when you need him. Please pray for everyone there."
His wish was granted as Batman Bale posed for pictures with those wounded in the gunfire. In one he was seen crouching next to Carey Rottman, a victim who was shot in the leg. Both smiled casually for the camera with Bale resting his arm over Mr Rottman's chair.

Mr Rottman was taken to hospital in a police squad car after another survivor, Stephanie Rodriguez, created a makeshift tourniquet with a leather belt. On his Facebook page, he thanked Miss Rodriguez for her bravery calling her his "guardian angel".
Bale also visited a makeshift memorial to the victims near the cinema. He walked past the 12 crosses erected for each of the slain victims, with many people there not realising who he was.
Interim prsident of the hospital, said:
"The patients were really happy to meet Bale. They are obviously big fans of his movies. They wanted to see Batman.
"It was good for the patients. We hope it was therapeutic for them, and all the staff really appreciated him coming."
Mr Voloch said Bale had wanted to keep the visit private and media were not notified, but word quickly spread.
Christian Bale's statement after the shooting had read:
"Words cannot express the horror that I feel,"
"I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them."
