Movie/Singing sensation tearfully announced her exit from the judges table of "American Idol" on the friday the 13th of July, 2012.
The 42 year-old pop icon tearfully told Ryan Seacrest,
"The time has come."
Jennifer Lopez's been a judge on the reality TV show for two seasons now.
Steven Tyler had a day earlier said he would not return for the new season of American Idol.
