On january 14, 2012 he was arrested at the Borno state governor's lodge for masterminding the christmas day bombing of catholic faithfuls who were worshipping on xmas day at Mandalla Niger state, which left 44 dead and several others wounded. What was drammatic about his case was that the Borno state commissioner of police( Zakari Biu) then ordered his transfer which led to his escape perpetrated by his Boko haram colleagues the said commissioner's been removed and now being investigated.
How Zakari Biu became a commissioner's still a mystery to us all, cos this was an officer who was exposed by Justice Oputa panel for so many nefarious acts under the guise of the Police force through-out General Sanni Abacha's reign of tyranny.
Today, friday 10th february, 2012 he was re-arrested in Taraba state hiding behind dring laundry in the house of another Boko Haram member.
