He (James Ibori) entered a guilty plea 27th February 2012 for laundrying over $250millionUSD in Nigerian State's fund to the UK in a london court.
James Ibori is a former 2 terms governor of Nigeria's oil rich state of Delta...he's sourjourn to prison did not start now, in 1991 while working on an income of #15,000Pounds a year he was caught by his employers at a hardware store in a suburb allowing his wife to leave the store without paying for goods. They both pleaded guilty and were fined.
In 1992 he was caught with a spent stolen Credit card, was also convicted and fined.
Mid-1990s while working codedly for the Abacha Junta he was questioned by the US FBI how he came in contact with Millions of Dollars he transfered to the US.
His purchase of a mortgage in 1999 in the Abbey area London was coupled with possession of a new identity.
It is no secret that Ibori bankrolled YarAdua's presidency and if YarAdua'd not fallen ill and died, his (rumored) promise of vice presidency might've earned Ibori a visit to No10, but instead he's going to be serving in her royal majesty's prisons.
He is going to end up in prison, because in 1999 in order to get to the office of governor of Delta state he swore to an affidavit that he was never convicted in the Uk.
