Born Mya Emem Kinlock, 12-year-old ‘MYA
K’ is our "Star of the week"!
Born to a British father Timothy Kinlock and a Nigerian mother, Victoria Kinlock from Akwa Ibom on the 5th of May 2011, Mya K is presently in private boarding high school in England. She
resides and holidays between homes in
Nigeria and UK she sings Afro hip hop, pop and R&B. She has the ability to express songs in the mode of Jazz and rap. She is currently signed to Rock Town Music. Charity is also an important part of Mya K’s life. She
presently runs her own charity foundation called Green Petal
Foundation.
Strong and energetic vocals, unraveled confidence and
compelling charisma are some of the qualities that best describes this 12 years
old young artiste. Mya K commenced her
professional solo career in recording music in 2010, aged 10 years old.
Mya K has been arousing more audience with her music as
well as an increasing fan base in Nigeria.
Mya K has recorded many singles but has released eight (8)
tracks). She she has done two (2) collaborations with Nigerian best rapper, Vector
the viper (Let me Breathe) and Jaywon, Kenny’s music finest
(Go Higher). Her recent singles (My Dj
and L.O.V.E) have been well received by fans and te
media. Her releases widely
reported in blog sites and print media in Nigeria and abroad.
