PRESIDENT GOODLUCK's FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE FOR FLOOD VICTIMS CO-CHAIRED BY DANGOTE LAUNCHES DONATION WEBSITE

Dangote showing President Goodluck the way forward
After raising about N11bn at a fund raiser in aid of the flood victims at the Presidential Villa in Abuja last week, the presidency has launched a website to compliment it. The site, created by the Presidential Committee on Flood Relief and Rehabilitation is to help mobilise funds from Nigerians all over the world.

The website's link is http://www.nigeriafloodrelief.org/.

Speaking on the committee's efforts, co-Chairman of the Presidential Committee, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, said the committee recognised the need to quickly have every Nigerian play a part in the relief efforts.
In his words:
“It subsequently commissioned the development and deployment of a set of best in class digital channels in line with its terms of reference.
“Our Committee cannot successfully carry out this mandate on our own. We have therefore adopted both traditional and digital approaches. Let’s support the rebuilding efforts with our money, time and effort. Nothing is too small to give".
Dangote donated #2.5 billion naira to assist flood victims in Nigeria.

We just hope, corruption will not eat into this effort, like past efforts in the country.
