WHAT PRESIDENT GOODLUCK DID NOT SAY THIS MORNING - REUBEN ABATI

Reuben Abati

Speaking on behalf of the Presidency, Dr Reuben Abati called-in on AIT's morning show to clarify some issues raised on the Show as it concerns President Goodluck Jonathan's Early Morning Presidential Broadcast to the nation today, 9th october 2012.

He particularly mentioned the issue of farmers affected by the flood and said they were not included in the President's speech because providing for them was a primary function of the Govt and the speech was an immediate palliative. On the issue of grading states, he said all the 36 states of the federation and Federal Capital territory Abuja were taken care of on the A to D grouping of the states. Of particular interest to us here, is the issue of the farmers and the so-called reserves and federal govt's primary responsibilities...he also went further to state that, the action of government cannot be categorised as a Fire Brigade approach.
