SEEN THE LAST OF RIHANNA IN AN ALIEN MOVIE? NAH! SHE'S NOW TO STAR IN AN ANIMATED ALIEN MOVIE
Rihanna is billed to take on her first animation film role in 'Happy Smekday'.
The 24year old grammy award winner made her acting debut earlier this year with a role in action flick 'Battleship' alongside Liam Neeson.
'The Big Bang Theory' actor Jim Parsons will lend his voice with that of Riri as they both take on the lead roles in the upcoming DreamWorks animation about a friendly alien race who invade the Earth in order to hide from their enemy...also two-time Emmy winner Jim has done voice-overs for several shows, including 'Family Guy' and ''iCarly'.
Director of popular animation films 'Antz' and 'Over The Hedge' - Tim Johnson is on board as director and Tom J. Astle and Matt Ember are writing the screenplay, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The comedy is an adaptation of Adam Rex's popular book 'The True Meaning of Smekday'. The plot will see an outcast alien (Jim) go on the run across America with a human girl (Rihanna) after he accidentally informs the enemy of the aliens' whereabouts.
In her words, Riri said:
"I didn't know if I would like it or be good at it. I really enjoyed the experience and I want to do more, try different types of roles so that I can see what I excel in most or like best.''
'Happy Smekday' is scheduled for release in late 2014.
