RACIAL JOKE: DE NIRO APOLOGISES TO MRS OBAMA

While introducing First Lady Michelle Obama and wives of other Presidential aspirants at an Obama fund raising event, Oscar winning Holy Wood veteran Robert De' Niro said "...Now do you think our country is ready for a white first lady?"

The Barack Obama team quickly moved in to salvage the situation by saying the joke was inappropriate. and vetoed his joke!

In a statement to E! News on Tuesday, De Niro apologized, saying, "My remarks, although spoken with satirical jest, were not meant to offend or embarrass anyone, especially the first lady."
