23 year-old Ram Singh, the driver of the bus which was used to rape, beat and brutalize a a 23 year-old female student and her friend has reportedly committed suicide in his cell at the Tahir Jail. He hung himself with his own clothes.
Ram, along with four other men on trial with him on rape, murder
and abduction charges, had been under a suicide watch. The sixth accused is being tried and jailed separately because he is a juvenile. If convicted, they could face the death penalty. Man down!
