Pres. Buhari Says, "Past Leaders Stole Around $150 Billion USD in the Last 10 Years!" As He Orders a Single Account for Govt!

President Buhari who lately said around $150 billion USD have been stolenn in the last decade has ordered that each and every every federal government ministry, department or agency to start paying into a Treasury Single Account (TSA) for all government revenues, incomes and other receipts. under this arrangement ministries are to use only approved government bank accounts to make payments.

In the words of vice Presidential spokesperson, Laolu Akande,

"President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered each and every federal government ministry, department or agency to start paying into a Treasury Single Account (TSA) for all government revenues, incomes and other receipts... This measure is specifically to promote transparency... several fragmented accounts for government revenues... the loss or leakages of legitimate income meant for the federation account".
