Boko Haram members are presently trying to take over Biu, the largest town in Southern Borno state.
According to a resident, insurgents arrived early Wednesday through the southern part of the Biu, and moved to take over the army barracks there.
“Our boys have already taken strategic position waiting for them, at the moment, the soldiers are battling them. All we can hear now are gunshots from the direction of the barracks.”
