A bomb blast has been reported to hit the Central mosque in Kano, which is close to the Emir's palace. The Emir had recently called for indegenes and citizens of the country to defend themselves and not rely on the federal government to defend them in the light of recent loses to Boko haramn insurgents by the Nigerian military.
