On the 16th of January, 2014, He bombarded the line with tales of his exploits, insults and sexual innuendo in a series of drunken calls in the early hours. Force Contact Centre Inspector Ian Gorman, said: ‘We do get inappropriate drunken calls from members of the public but, after stern reminders from a police officer, they tend to quickly stop... However, [the] phone pest ignored our warnings and his calls descended into abuse and inappropriate comments directed at our call handlers... Misuse of the 999 system deflects police resources and time away from people in genuine need of assistance or those who are reporting serious crimes.’
