20boko haram members had stormed the Kogi central prisons in koton karifi on Bikes(popularly called Okadas) to rescue 7 of their members held in the prison. they blew up the gate and started shooting sporadically which killed one prison security while others took to their heels, which gave them the rare opening to break out 119 prisoners. though prison authorities claim all the escapees were awaiting trial and not lifers...there is report from the prisons that 25 of them have been rearrested.
