When the rains started in Sambisa forest not even Pastor Rotimi Obajimi, of the Redeemed christian Church of God abducted by Boko Haram 10 months earlier knew it was time for his miracle. According to him, a heavy downpour led to a massive flood which made the insurgents leave them unguarded so he capitalized and escaped. After wandering in Sambisa he arrived at a village where he met Nigerian troops who took him to Maiduguri and debriefed him. He also added that he was held for months at Sambisa forest, after which he was moved to an unknown destination and later back to Sambisa forest.
