According to SKY NEWS a boy, who is aged between five and 10, went into the toilet at KFC at Renfield Street in the city of Glasgow on Tuesday evening.
After leaving the toilet, he rejoined his mother in the restaurant ande told her he had been sexually assaulted.
Police Scotland spokewoman told Sky News:
"Our enquiries are continuing into an alleged incident... Specialist officers are interviewing the child and the area is well covered by CCTV cameras which will be reviewed... The boy is back, safe and well with his family."
