14 PDP GOVERNORS FAIL TO ATTEND...8 DEPUTIES SHOWED UP...IS THIS THE BEGINNING OF THE END OF AKPABIO LED PARALLEL GOVERNORS(PDP) FORUM?

Governor Akpabio of Akwa Ibom state
Last night Governor Godswill Akpabio led PDP Governors Forum suffered its first major setback as 14 serving PDP governors failed to attend its meeting. Though, 8 of the 14 sent their deputies it appears like this is no good sign. Conspicously absent without representation are:
Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum, the Governor of Rivers State, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, the governors of Jigawa state; Sule Lamido; Dr. Babangida Aliyu of Niger state, Seidu Dakingari of Kebbi state, Aliyu Wamako of Sokoto state, Musa Kwakwanso of Kano state and Sulivan Chime of Enugu state.
No reason was given for the absence of the six governors. Eight other governors, who were not at the meeting, sent their deputies.
However, at the end of the meeting, chairman of the group, Godswill Akpabio, told journalists his group would step up service delivery with a view to ensuring development across the country.
