In 2008, Robert Johnson, a businessman from Hereford, won a £5million Lotto jackpot. Though he chose to remain anonymous, he showed no qualms about splashing his new-found cash, buying a black Bentley Continental (left) for around £100,000. But the car which was his 'pride and joy' had to be written off yesterday morning when he drove it through deep flood waters in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. A friend said Mr Johnson, 65, was 'gutted' by the loss, which saw water rise as far as the car's steering wheel (right).
