Thanks to intervention by African Ex-leaders and the international community in Senegal, the people have had the opportunity to vote out a president who wanted to rule for a third term - 85 year old Wade.

Today 25th March he conceded victory to the candidate of the coalition of opposition parties who won the election, Wade's EXprotegee Macky Sall.

Macky Sall's mother sold groundnuts to assist his civil servant dad in order to raise him.
