Nigerian-born Blessing Okagbare clocked a time of 11.01s to beat Olympic /World champions Carmelita Jeter and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce today Saturday to win the 100 metres race in the London Diamond League athletics meet in a time of 11.01s.
BBC Sport reports that Okagbare was delighted with her victory in the 100m.
Blessing said, “I have been waiting so long to break 11 seconds. I did not expect that time today and it gives me great confidence going into London 2012. I am happy to be in the mix.”
